Module 1 of 2 – Online Security Training

This first module in a two-part training series prepares security professionals to respond decisively, lawfully, and professionally to incidents that demand immediate action. The course establishes a structured foundation for handling emergencies, maintaining site control, and protecting people, property, and information assets.

Students begin by learning standardized response procedures for crime scenes and accidents, with clear guidance on scene safety, initial actions, and coordination expectations. The training then expands into emergency response responsibilities specific to private security, including environmental hazards, severe weather considerations, and maintaining operational continuity during critical events.

A core focus of this module is workplace violence prevention and response. Students learn how workplace violence is defined, how to recognize early warning indicators, and the different forms violence may take in professional environments. Emphasis is placed on the proactive role private security plays in deterrence, observation, and early intervention.

The module also reinforces professional communication standards essential to effective security operations. Instruction covers the proper use of communication devices, operational etiquette, and techniques that support clarity, control, and coordination during routine duties and high-stress situations.

Finally, students are introduced to information protection and control, highlighting the responsibility security officers have in safeguarding sensitive information, access credentials, and operational data in modern security environments.

This module builds the situational awareness, judgment, and communication discipline required of today’s professional security officers and serves as the foundation for the advanced concepts covered in Module 2.
