The De-escalation of Force online course is a state-compliant training module designed to prepare security professionals to identify, manage, and resolve potentially volatile situations before they escalate into physical confrontation. This course reinforces the principle that effective security work relies on judgment, communication, and control, not unnecessary use of force.

Students learn how to recognize early indicators of aggression, emotional distress, or escalating behavior and apply verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques to stabilize situations safely. The course emphasizes professional presence, tone, positioning, and decision-making, helping officers maintain control while reducing risk to themselves, the public, and the client environment.
